For businesses looking
for a more traditional styled desktop but still want the
benefits of a reduced size, the XPC T 3100 is the
solution. Based on the nanoBTX standard, the XPC T 3100
is designed to be a low cost, easy to maintain system
ideal for large installations in corporate, educational
and similar settings. The XPC T 3100 includes onboard
audio and graphics, and is ready to accept single and
dual core processors.
Intel processors offer
outstanding performance at an affordable price. The XPC
T3100 comes standard with a Celeron D 352 for blistering
fast day-to-day performance. The Celeron D is Intel’s
budget processor, but don’t let that discourage you as
its 3.2 GHz clock speed makes it the perfect companion
for internet browsing, word processing and other office
or general type tasks. If the Celeron D doesn’t have
enough horsepower you can step up to a Pentium 4 HT or
dual-core Pentium D for multitasking bliss.
More from Intel processors If your
primary tasks include browsing the internet, working
with a word processor, spreadsheets, other applications
and listening to music etc… than the Intel Celeron D
processor is a perfect match. Although its part of
Intel’s value product line it packs a performance
punch—plenty for everyday tasks.
Those that like to use a couple programs at the same
time might want to step up to Intel’s Pentium 4
processor with HyperThreading technology. HyperThreading
technology allows Windows to run more efficiently and
smoother when multiple programs are running at the same
time.
Gamers or users that like making home videos or other
multimedia tasks might want to step up to an Intel
Pentium D processor. Intel’s Pentium D processor
features dual-cores for twice as much processing power
as conventional Celeron D or Pentium 4 processors. Twice
the amount of processing power allows users to run
multiple applications at once without the system slowing
down. Games will also speed up due to having greater
processing resources available. Video creation
performance will also speed up drastically for speedy
home video creations.
Smooth and Efficient
Upgrades XPC T3100 systems are built around
Intel’s Socket T, or more commonly known as LGA75,
socket architecture. Using a standard processor socket
allows users to start out with a Celeron D and upgrade
to a Pentium 4 or dual-core Pentium D when more power is
desired. It also provides greater flexibility with
upgrades too.
Intel Enhanced Memory
64 Technology
All XPC T3100 systems are
equipped with processors with Intel’s Enhanced Memory 64
Technology (EM64T). With Intel EM64T users can run
64-bit applications and operating systems such as
Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Vista 64-bit. Intel’s EM64T
instructions allow for greater overall system
performance in part of a much better efficiency.
Existing 32-bit applications and operating systems will
function on XPC T3100 systems too for a smooth
transition process.
No Execute Bit
Technology
Viruses are becoming rampant among internet
goers. It’s really easy to accidentally download a virus
nowadays. All XPC T3100 systems are equipped with
processors that have No Execute Bit (NX Bit) technology
to prevent viruses from causing major harm to the
system. With an NX Bit capable operating system such as
Windows XP SP2, harmful viruses are stopped before it
can cause any damage to the system.
